We absolutely LOVE campus reps. Why? Two reasons.
The networking & the perks.
Let’s be honest. College is expensive and if you’re not one of those lucky few with a trust fund then you’re probably looking for a fun (possibly resume-boosting) way to make some cash money.
What is a campus representative?
Campus representatives (also known brand ambassadors) are responsible for spreading the word about the company they represent. Their primary goal is to help with marketing programs on campus, occasionally even hosting workshops and events. Typical campus reps will receive a box full of advertising tools and company swag (T-shirts, koozies, stickers, sunglasses, hats, etc). The ideal campus rep will hand them out to students while talking up whatever brand they’re representing. Being a campus rep can be an impressive to add to your resume that requires less time and effort than an internship.
Thousands of college students in campuses all over the country are offered store credit, free stuff, or actual cash money by promoting brands on campus. Whatever you’re interested in, there’s probably a campus rep position in your field.
